Here’s some fun historical info: A distant relative of ours (something like a second cousin twice removed) opened one of the first department stores in the U.S.A., in Elizabeth, New Jersey back in 1933. People used to travel from 50 miles around to visit the store, which ultimately expanded into many stores and a thriving business. Here’s a link with a little more info.
